About Us

Q: How soon should I book our wedding cake?
A: I tell couples that if they find a wedding cake business that they really like, then book as soon as possible with them, because their dates can get booked up fast too just like the other venues of the wedding, especially in the popular wedding months, such as April, May, June & July.

Q: How many wedding cakes do you do per weekend?
A: I only usually do 2 per weekend since I'm the one making all the preparations. Plus, I have to be able to co-ordinate my setup times as to where the reception sites are taking place. I don't like having to do any more than that now, because I love my work, and I don't want to end up not loving it by having too many cake orders. Other cake businesses may do many more per weekend, but, I don't freeze my cakes, they are made fresh the day before.

Q: How soon do you deliver & set up the cakes?
A: I like to set them up 2 hours before the start of the wedding ceremony. I don't like them to set out for several hours if I can keep from it. You just never know who may be in & milling about the cake.

Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Almost 10 years as a business but I have been making cakes & desserts for family & friends since 1979.

Q: Have you ever had a catastrophy when deliverying a wedding cake?
A: NO, knock on wood. I transport each tier separately in their own covered containers, and assemble them on site. Very rarely do I transport a fully assembled cake, and when I do it may only be a 2 or 3 tier.
